What is Morse Code used for -

In this article we discussing about what is Morse code & why we used it.
In short we can tell that Morse code is a method of sending text messages by keying in a series of electronic pulses, usually represented as a short pulse (called a "dot") and a long pulse (a "dash").

Morse code

The most current system was a derivative of the electrical telegraph system. The telegraph system was invented in the early 1800s almost two hundred years ago from today, and at this time there wasn’t the internet so we didn't have instant communication systems like Facebook, Whatsapp, etc that we used today. We didn't have these wastes in which we could communicate with people over large distances and be able to give them a message. And the telephone wasn’t invented until much later so the only way we could communicate was not even through voice, it was simply either we had the mail a letter or we could send a message through the telegraph wire where the telegraph wire could communicate. An electrical signal now this electrical signal made a noise and it was this noise that Samuel Morse the inventor of the Morse code realized he could use for a system of an alphabet by maintaining the length of this signal. Some famous use of the Morse code system was in Second World War, the radioman plays an important part in the new his hiding weapon is the transmission. This system was very reliable because it could easily be used and trained by people working within armed services and the system was very reliable in being able to secretly code messages to particular units all over the battlefields. The important parts of the key are the knob the contacts and the tension spring both the tension spring and the contacts are adjustable utilizing these groups listen to the sounds. However, Morse code is still very much a part of life particularly for still people that are in the Armed Service sit’s still necessary that they learn how to use it. Also with shipping Morse code is still used to send signals although it’s not perhaps used as much now.

The whole idea of Morse code was that it allowed for data to be transmitted just like the binary number system did and the Braille system. So in learning more code it's more about reflecting how another form of data transmission can be used which uses two things either a no signal or an off signal.

Importance of Morse Code:

. Before invention of Morse code and telegraph, messages were still handwritten and carried by horse.
. It allowed ships to communicate over long distances using large lights.
It was crucial during Second World War because it greatly improved speed of communication.
Naval ships use Morse code to communicate with each other.
. War planes used Morse code to detail locations of enemy ships, troops and send them back to headquarters.

Is Morse Code used now?

It is still widely recognized, even it is not used as it was once.
. Still popular among radio amateur systems.
. US Navy and Coast Guard still use signals lamps to communicate in Morse code.
. It works as alternative form of communication for people with disabilities.
. Using eyelids to communicate in Morse code by using series of long and quick blinks to represent dots and dashes.
