Micromax now come up with two new smartphones Micromax Bharat 5 Infinity Edition and Micromax Bharat 4 Diwali Edition. Both the phones boot Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) to support the basic hardware they pack. The price of the new Bharat 5 is Rs 5,899, while the Bharat 4 Diwali Edition can be picked up for Rs 4,249. The Bharat 5 Infinity Edition is an interesting smartphone among the two as it packs a huge 5000mAh battery which we haven’t seen on many smartphones in the past. The Bharat 4 Diwali Edition can be termed as just another Android Go smartphone with mediocre hardware.
Micromax Bharat 4 Diwali Edition: Features and Specifications :-
The only common feature between both the phones is they both run Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) out of the box. Speaking about the Bharat 5 Infinity Edition first, it has a 5-inch 18:9 display on the front with 2.5D curved glass on top. The phone comes in various colour options- including Blue, Black and Gold. Interestingly, it also has a fingerprint scanner located on the rear side and Micromax is also shipping Face Unlock with the phone.
Cameras on the Bharat 5 Infinity Edition include a 5MP shooter on the rear and a 5MP shooter on the front. While the company confirmed that the phone has 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, it, however, did not reveal any information related to the processor, which is underwhelming. On the brighter side, the phone has a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 32GB.
Lastly, the device boots Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) and it features Go apps such as Google Go, Gmail Go and so on. Micromax has layered a custom skin on top of Android. The phone is armed with a 5000mAh battery which along with HD+ display will last longer for two days on a single charge. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and a Micro-USB port. It also supports Dual SIM cards.
Moving onto the Bharat 4 Diwali Edition, it also sports a 5-inch display, but the resolution must be FWVGA, unlike the HD+ on the Bharat 5 Infinity Edition. Micromax did not reveal the processor it used to power the smartphone, but it did confirm the phone has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card. There’s a 5MP shooter on the rear side, while on the front, the phone has a 2MP camera for capturing selfies and video calls. It also runs Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) and draws power from a 2000mAh battery. This Dual-SIM smartphone comes with 4G LTE support and also has a Micro USB port for charging and data transfer.
