Higher Megapixel Camera madness 48MP, 64MP, 108MP etc :-

| Higher Megapixel is nothing but a myth |
Now a day all great
smartphone makers like Samsung, Xiaomi, HMD (NOKIA), Realme, etc
brands launch their new model with higher megapixel camera like they
battle with Megapixel but the sad reality is more or bigger Megapixel
doesn’t mean the camera quality is really great or in simple way we
can tell that bigger megapixel smartphone camera will not provide
DSLR camera like satisfaction, cause the picture quality depends on
camera Sensors, Lens, Etc & also on image processing software.
For example most of the smartphone cameras use pixel binning to join 4 pixels and process the image to a smaller size as the final output. A 48MP camera renders a 12MP image, a 64MP camera offers a 16MP image.
Even if you capture an image at 64MP resolution than the file size is more than 20MB and when you upload it to social media like Facebook, Instagram etc then you noticed that the image compression algorithm of the social media reduces the size of your image by more than 20 times. In-case lots of cameras with 12 or 16MP can take better images in comparison to the higher MP cameras like Google’s Pixel 4 can take better photo than Samsung’s S20. Even professional cameras from Sony and Nikon has a 20 MP or a 24MP resolution. The actual image quality depends on the sensor size, post-processing, image signal processor, lens quality, color accuracy, dynamic range, and several other factors. So larger the Megapixel is better the camera is nothing but a myth.

8K videos :-
We
still don’t shoot too many 4K videos as the storage space is too
much for these. The 8K videos are going to take more than 2 times the
space of 4K videos and there is no real need for most people to shoot
8K on a mobile, also in Android ecosystem (Android Pie) you can not
record a video of 7GB cause android will not support that much at a
time.
5G The Massive MIMO hype :-
![]() |
| 5G |
Paying for a premium 5G smartphone as of now simply does not make any sense cause these smartphone companies are there for marketing stuff. Now every smartphone manufacturer is hyping about 5G phones as the next big thing. Brands like Samsung, Xiaomi, Realme etc talking about their first 5G phone. The 5G network is going to be faster than current 4G Network.
But the main
question is when we will have access to it ?.
In India Jio, Airtel
& Vodafone-idea now provides 4G networks almost every cities &
villages but current 4G network speed not that much strong as we
expected also in many area there are no 4G networks available, also
in some rural area lots of people still suffering “No Networks”
problem it means in that particular are there are no network tower to
provide the signal or network in mobile.
And 5G not just as
simple as 4G, to roll-out 5G network in India, all network providers
need to enhanced their networks like they need to enhanced the
bandwidth capacity, implement more networks etc.
Another key part of
5G is that fact it operates on a higher frequency band of the
wireless spectrum, known as the millimeter wave (mmWave) spectrum.
This enables users to access more bandwidth than before.
More Cameras means better Photography :-
Every phone nowadays is coming with 4, 5 rear cameras. Most of these cameras are garbage but it’s the marketing techniques to lure customers, most of the phones will have a 48-64MP main camera, 8MP ultra wide, 2MP depth and 2MP macro camera. The first camera is decent one but the low wide-angle camera also have a problem with many of the branch. They're giving wide-angle only 8 megapixel, wide angle should be actually higher megapixel count because it's capturing a lot more. So again, we don't get the point of having just 8MP on a wide angle lens at least well as necessary better 16MP if you really Want good results, but no, they will give that and they leave two more cameras silly cameras. Just 2MP for depth and for 2MP for macro. Why do you need just 2MP for depth to Sea the more details but can the 2MP really gives you more details that you really expect for ?, You can do that without the depth sensing camera and many are doing it for example Google Pixel. So we don't get it this hyper 4-5 cameras at the back. Really it is nothing but stupidity.
8GB, 12GB RAM Madness :-
![]() |
| Smartphone RAM Hype |
Now, let's talk
about another hype or stupidity and that is RAM Madness. Now almost
every smartphone manufacturer tried to push smartphones with 10 or
12GB of RAM. Why do we need 12GB of RAM ?, even most of our computer
have 8GB RAM and it does everything so well. So why the hell do you
need 12GB RAM on a stupid smartphone ?, Oh you might be thinking that
you can edit a 4K video on your phone but that’s not happening, and
one more thing if you thought that more RAM can manage smooth Gaming
then we’ll tell you that 4GB RAM is enough for gaming. Almost every
high-end games like “PUBG”, “COD-Mobile”, ”Asphalt”,
“GTA-SA” etc runs smoothly on 4GB RAM smartphone. That means you
just don't have anything you just a great typing the stuff and trying
to sell it and many people fall for that. That's the sad reality.
Notch Trends :-
If you talk about
the trends then we’ve seen that in the smartphone industry from
2018 to 2019 almost every smartphone manufacturer tried to push
different types of notches in their new model. We saw punch-Hole,
iPhone type notch, V-notch etc. Fortunately that trend has stopped
along with the popup camera trend.
So these are the
some on going Smartphone Hypes and we would say that if you are
having an Android phone and before upgrading just think about it, Do
you really need to upgrade smartphone in just six seven months does
it really make any sense. We would say that if you have a modern
Android smartphone you using it then you really don't need to upgrade
it for almost two years.
And if you use an
iPhone that can be upgraded to IOS 12 or IOS 13 then you really don't
need to buy a new iPhone for the next three years because the
software optimization is good enough for your day to day uses.
